Principal (?): Wanting to return to the school? You? I’m telling you right now, it’s going to have to be in a form of readmitting to the school. In order to do that, you’ll need a document stating…

Klarth: I believe there is a “Souwaku seidou” (which when translated is “asteroid correct path” which makes no sense soo it must be like a document that he needs in order to re-enter the school~ sorry for assumptions here)

Principal: However, only the ones who achieve high on the entrance exam will…

Klarth: What score do I need to get!? Please tell me! What score do I need in order to re-enter the school!?

Prof: And so, that is why typically through these principles the Mana’s existence is presumed.

Klarth: Professor!

Guys in class: Again? Come on~ already~

Prof: Ehem… and what is it Klarth F. Lester-kun?

Klarth: Your theories are based on experience and are developed from the basics. However, you are taking that experience alone and from well-known adulterations or possibly from transcendental ideas, and as long as there is even the slightest chance that a principle is not completely denied, I believe that your dissertation is not solid enough.
In other words, even if that ‘truth’ is based on the belief of a preamble deductive reasoning truth, if that reasoning is based on a false assumption then… (God… I hope this makes sense~ basically he’s saying your theory sucks do more research~! LOL)

Old woman: Are you really sure~ you want to do this? If anyone finds out that you were meeting with a fortune-telling old woman like me, as a student of the magic academy, there will be various disputes about it, no~?

Klarth: I don’t mind. Please do it.

Old woman: Besides, it’s not just drawing pictures onto your body. This paint, or so called, is a carved seal, which will bring agony. In other words, you are declaring that you are constructing a world including the spirit world.

Klarth: I know~! Enough with the impertinent talk! Please begin!

Old woman: My my… (chanting)

Prof: Klarth-kun, what is going on wearing that strange outfit!?

Klarth: In order to get in better contact with the spirits, I have drawn the magic patterns onto my body.

Prof: Spirits? How foolish. You truly believe in that kind of childish tale?

Klarth: I believe that I have scored the grades that were required in order to promote the school.

Prof: Quit fooling around already!! Our academy is a place where we respect history and social status! Those accessories that are dangling are…

Klarth: I believe that it is not against any rules in the academy charter. If you’ll excuse me.

Prof: You wait just a minute, Klarth-kun!

Principal (?): Our graduate representative, Klarth F. Lester-kun. Please come forth.

(clapping with chattering of “what the hell is up with that outfit?” “What is that?” “It’s the memorial ceremony for god’s sake.” “He’s studied too much that he’s gone mad~” )

Principal (?): You have achieved outstanding grades all throughout your academic years ever since you entered this academy. Well, there were a number of problems but…
(laughing) Well~ from now on as well, I expect great, non-wasteful, efforts in contributing towards the growth of magic theories. Even though, this is an outrage. I approve, Klarth F. Lester-kun to join the Royal Magic Academy’s charter.

Klarth: The spirit’s existence is well recognized through many of the literatures from the past.

Guy: Objection! According to the valid deduction of the premise in which it is the truth, any thing other than what follows this is known as invalid information thus making it a low standard, Klarth-kun, your opinion does not suffice the theory at all. (again~ it’s basically your theory sucks~ soo sorry for the horrible wording~ =TTwTT= wish I was a philosopher/lawyer right now~ )

Klarth: No matter who’s opinion it maybe, what’s more important than the opinion is rather at what point is that opinion being made, in other words something that does not organize one’s opinion on what one should think of first and what one should thing of afterwards is considered an illogical opinion!!

Guy: That is considered none other than an insult towards the school, Klarth-kun!

Klarth: I did not come here to play word games with you!

Crowd in back: What the heck is this guy getting at~?

Guy: To begin with, if there were such things called as spirits, then why do they not interact with humans? I would like you to explain it nice and clearly so that even I could understand it.

Klarth: It is because spirits inhabit in a different dimension than we do.

Crowd: Ohh yea~ they were there~~ yea~ that’s right they were there~~

Klarth: Will you just listen to me!? I have seen it with my very own eyes, the Dark spirit, Shadow!!

Guy: What you need are not funds for an experiment but an eye doctor or tranquilizers. (laughs)

Klarth: Please take a look at the second page of the hand out I have given out.

Guy: That’ll be all Klarth-kun, I’ve had enough.

Klarth: I HAVEN’T EXPLAINED ANYTHING YET!!!

Guy: It seems that you have an acquaintance who is a fortune-teller. Things like fortune-telling and spirits are all the things that do not agree with our scientific world of reason and knowledge. Our studies are to rescue those humans, whom are being circumscribed by one’s own words and actions. It’s not like you’re not aware of your utmost favorite academy charter’s first article is taken note of.

Klarth: It’s not a superstition!! There is a piece of the truth within the Legend!!

Guy: SILENCE KLARTH F. LESTER!!! I will have you exiled from the scientific world permanently!!

Crowd: That’s right! X 2

Klarth: Why do you not try to open your eyes!!?? PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!! YOU’LL UNDERSTAND IF YOU’LL JUST LISTEN!!

Mirald: Welcome home!!

Klarth: Yea…

Mirald: How was it!? Do you think we’ll be able to get some support?

Klarth: Evenly matched, I’d say~ Well~ I’ve gathered this much data/historical records~ Those stubborn blockheads won’t be able to ignore me anymore~

Mirald: Soo then shall we open “it”/the goods?

Klarth: Yea~ you’re right~

Klarth: Huhh?? Ohh~ ha ha ha~ of course I remember~ that was when we were taking “Mana ki souri kigaku” (I think it comes out to be like “the study on Mana energy” but not too too sure)

Mirald: Yea yea~ and he suddenly wrote the words “rotation/turning” on the blackboard and said “what you need in my lecture is not knowledge or experience but to get your thoughts running/turning” he really stunned us with that one didn’t he? Right when I thought all of the professors are old and overly serious grandpas, there was such a hot-blooded teacher like him.

Klarth: He was a funny/strange person.

Mirald: You know… I remember even now…

Klarth: Hm?

Mirald: that hill we all went to…. together.

Klarth: Oh yea~ I do too. We flew paper airplanes didn’t we?

Mirald: I was Alvanista #5 and

Klarth: Magnus was #100

Mirald: Those paper airplanes we flew that day… I wonder where they all went…?
I sometimes think~ that they’ve crossed the ocean and have flown to an unknown country… someplace we’ll never be able to reach…

Klarth: A country we’ll never be able to reach… huh?

Mirald: A country where all year around there’s a ghastly pale sky, where the wind is blowing and, we’re there on top of the hill. With the sky filled with paper airplanes and slowly~ slowly~~ floating about in the sky~ and we’re watching it…

Klarth: I’m sorry, Mirald. (sob =TT^TT= )

Mirald: Klarth?

Klarth: I’m so sorry. (sob sob)

Mirald: Soo… it didn’t go well…

Klarth: Yea…

Mirald: Is that so…

Klarth: They said I’m banned… for an experimental indiscretion… permanent banishment. Forbidden to place a foot into the scientific world.

Mirald: That’s a good thing~ if you stay there too long, without even noticing you’ll be engulfed by their old ways and slow down your thinking~ What we’re experimenting is something that’s never been done~ a false subject study~ Besides~ you’ve been saying it for the longest time~ “organizations are a load of crap!”

Klarth: You’re right~ it was, wasn’t it..

Mirald: You know what! How about opening a school? We’ll reconstruct this laboratory and we’ll open a school that teaches children how to read and write! That’d be wonderful!

Klarth: Yea~ it would be….. thank you Mirald

Mirald: Come on~ what are you crying about~ we’re partners aren’t we?

Klarth: This hat is?

Mirald: Yea/un~

Klarth: Are you sure?

Mirald: Yea/un~

Klarth: Thank you~

Even I don’t know what to do when we finally meet up with the dark spirit, Shadow. Whether to destroy it and take revenge or… have it make a contract with the ring and hold a grudge against it… or possibly… possibly…

Cless: So… this is.. the dark spirit, Shadow?

Suzu: How eerie…

Klarth: Be careful! It’s a life-form that extremely opposes humans who live in the light. Without hesitation it’ll go after you. Arche, don’t be off guard on the magic!

Arche: It’s not… coming after us…

Klarth: Don’t let your guard down! It might be plotting something!

Mint: No~ something is wrong/doesn’t look right~

(shadow moaning)

Cless: It’s… crying?

Mint: Klarth-san~

Klarth: What’s going on?

Shadow: I…. darkness…

Suzu: It has spoken~

Shadow: Friends… devil/demon king… brainwashed…

Cless: What is it saying?

Mint: It sounded like it was saying “friends”

Shadow: Friends… Dhaos… taken away… brainwashed

Suzu: It’s friends were taken away by Dhaos and…

Klarth: were brainwashed… Is that what you are saying?

Shadow: Friends…. Want to help…. Cooperate… I beg/ask/please…

“I am not, individually, myself but a part of something far greater.
There is some sort of meaning to my existence” is what Magnus used to say.
He was perhaps talking about “fate.” Or possibly, something that’s more like a mission.
Either way, I felt as though I finally understood. That the spirits are also a part of something greater. Laughter, cry, anger, that spirits also carry the same amount of story that humans do, as one life-form. And those many stories joining together and how we encounter each other. And that there’s not a single meaningless death, or life/birth in that matter.

Klarth: Alright, let’s make a contract.

Shadow: I… darkness… humans…. Enemy…

Klarth: Alright, right after we’ve rescued your friends, I shall break the contract on the spot.

Arche: Are you sure you’re ok with that, Klarth? Then you won’t be able to complete the collection~

Klarth: It’s fine~ it’s fine~ Arche… (chanting) I, now, make a pledge to the spirits of the darkness to abode to this ring, may you obey me/give me your powers… My name is Klarth F. Lester.

Magnus: Soo you finally understand… I am not, individually, myself but a part of something far greater. There is some sort of meaning to my existence. That is what spirit experimentation is, that is what Mirald is, and that is you… Klarth…

No one knows where those paper airplanes of the year 4192 have landed… Even so, it is not someplace, in a country that can never be reached… but perhaps somewhere close… yes.. for example, they may have flown down next to the fireplace in a small laboratory in Euclid… that’s right… now that I have made a contract with all the spirits… what’s left within the palm of my hand is this one ring… a story about one ring that’s no longer bound down… Year 4202, 150 years into the future, my intent is to finish that story.

Klarth: Hey Magnus~~ why do you always wear that hat?

Magnus: You mean this? This is~

Klarth: Could it be because~ you're trying to hide your BALDNESS~ !?

Magnus: IDIOT~! This was something that was passed down from my most honorable teacher.

Klarth: Most honorable teacher?

Magnus: Yea. It is the person who has taught me what it means to live/the meaning of life.

Klarth: What it means to live/ the meaning of life~!? Ha~ that's something that I~ would like to be taught~ as well~

Magnus: Even YOU will know/understand someday. Someday...

Suzu: I'm against it. I don't see any reason for us to make a contract with the dark spirit when we are going to Dhaos's castle which is full of dark evil monsters.

Klarth: There is a reason. Shadow is one of the rarest spirits that has not been confirmed often in the human world. He's an important spirit and he's said to be in Ary. We mustn't miss him.

Cless: Klarth-san, right now, please forget about your research.

Mint: Yes~ Klarth-san. Besides, we should go to Dhaos's castle at once and put an end to this as soon as possible. Making a contract with Shadow can even be done after...

Klarth: There's no guarentee that there will be an after.

Mint: What~?

Klarth: There's no guarentee that we'd come back alive after fighting Dhaos.

Chester: Hey Hey~!! What's up/going on with you~ Master/chief/boss~ Klarth. It's not like you~

Suzu: Yes~ this isn't like~ Klarth-san.

Klarth: Fine~ if you guys won't help, then I'll go to the darkness cave alone.

Arche: Ahh~~ you know~~ Klarth~~ he's anal~ about this kind of stuff soo~~ once he starts collecting the spirits~~ he just feels like he HAS to collect them all~~ right?

Klarth: Stop fooling around/Don't say such foolish things.

Chester: Hey~!

Cless: Stop it Chester~~ I understand. Tomorrow, we'll leave here early in the morning to head for the darkness cave. Is that alright/how about that? Klarth-san?

Klarth: I appreciate it.

Chester: What the hell was that/What was up with that?

Four thousand one hundred and ninety two years of paper airplanes

Klarth: Year four thousand one hundred and ninety two. I was a skrawny 18 year old and, the world was a much smaller place than now, living a easy-going/casual life style. Alvanista Royal (ooritsu means big commandment/rate/ratio... and that didnt make sense soo ^^;;) Magic Academy was a boring prison-like place. I was spending a fun-filled everyday successfully, from having numerous original rules for myself. For example, a rule that says, to skip class at least half of the time within a week. A rule that says, never date the same woman more than three times. A rule that says, for anything make sure you stand slightly off to the side about anything (not 100% sure if that is right, I think it's basically don't take anything seriously) So you see, I was a 18 year old, who acted very much like an 18 year old. Living on by not carrying out a given/set scenerio, everyday, everyday, making up my own story.

Girl: Ah~ what are you doing here/ in a place like this?

Klarth: Soo harsh/cruel~~~~ to the man, who was anxiously waiting for you.

Girl: You should have just come to the classroom.

Klarth: Well you know there are reasons why I can't set one foot through the school gates.

Girl: Soo~ you really did get suspended from school as punishment?

Klarth: Making a person sound bad by saying I was suspended~~ I just happen to find something more important than classwork, doing a very excessive research back at home.

Girl: Experiment?

Klarth: Yea~ a Wind experiment~

Girl: Wind~?

Klarth: Yes~~~~ wind~~. "Oh Wind~~ where are you blowing from~ and where are you blowing to~~? You are so similar in spirit with humans that, in other words, perhaps your reasoning is the answer itself to the philosophical proposition of where we are from and where we are to go to.... " and that's what I think about all day~ laying on the roof

Girl: Ahahaha.. you.... truly.... are funny~

Klarth: Nuhhuhh~~ it doesn't mean that I do it infront of anyone~

Girl: sheesh... you're so slick with your words..

Klarth: What are you talking about?

Boy 1: What is up with/Who is that~ frivolous guy~~!?

Boy 2: OHhh that's Klarth F. Lester~~

Boy 1?: Ohh that trouble-maker that's been causing ruckus ever since this Alvanista Royal Magic Academy has started~

Boy 2: That's right~ it's something like he made a/put the move on the board chairman's daughter and got suspended from school as punishment, but even so HE STILL WANDERS AROUND HERE, SHAMELESSLY ACTING LIKE THAT~!

Boy 1: Hey~~~ you're talking way too loud~~~ I heard it as a rumor but it seems that he's a real roughneck~~~ they said that he took a thick magic book and smacked the professor with it or something like that

Magnus; That's just a mere rumor~

Boy 1?: Pro...Professor.. Magnus..

Magnus: The person, Klarth hit wasn't a professor, it was the director.

Boy 1?: Ohh..

Magnus: Klarth!

Klarth: Yo~!! Magnus~

Magnus: Idiot~ professor... call me professor...

Girl: Hello~ Professor~ Magnus~

Klarth: Man~ such uncouthness~ the mood was so perfect too~ Just a little more~~ and I could of had a date~~ how could you do that to me~~

Magnus Bradley was, in every way/meaning, a very peculiar person. He hired a bore person like me, as his assistant and got me involved in a fairy tale-like research on spirit summoning, and towards the director of the Academy, he softly yet strongly rebels against being a wise-ass youngster that he was... and yet was loved and respected by everyone. To I, who believed to live free, meant to struggle with the environment set on being successful in the operation and nothing else, Magnus was indeed a magic miracle in itself.

Klarth: Yea sure~

Magnus: Did we still have a stockpile of frogs (Hikigaeru?)

Klarth: Yep four left~

Magnus: Is that right, well we'll have to restock sometime this week.

Klarth: Hey Magnus~

Magnus: I've told you to call me professor~

Klarth: Hey.. things coming along well with Mirald?

Magnus: yea.

Klarth: How far have you gone?

Magnus; hmph~ that has nothing to do with you~

Klarth: Of course it does~ I'm the one who introduced you to her~ I could be considered the cupid of love~~ therefore~ I have the right to know~~

Magnus: The right to know, huh? Hey, don't forget to check the temperature on that flask.

Klarth: Yep~ well~~ I know I introduced you to her but you sure have weird sense of curiosity~ what do you like about that Mirald, anyway~? Clearly, explain to me in under 300 words, prof~

Magnus: You know more than I do, don't you?

Klarth: Huh?

Magnus: I'm talking about Mirald.

Klarth: Mirald??

Magnus: You guys have known each over for a long time right?

Klarth: Hey hey hey hey~~ give me a break~~ let me tell you something, I've seen her get spanked and I also know that she didn't come out of the cellar for three days after a boy she admired in the neighborhood got married. I've even seen her fall into a pit, even though I was the one who pushed her in~ but to a woman like that~ how could I have feelings/affections for her~ that's stupid~

Magnus: Is that so/is that all that is

Klarth: Yea that's so/that's all that is

Magnus: I wonder if Mirald feels the same way.

Klarth: You're gonna make me mad, are you seriously saying that? Oh! I get it~ you're acting reserved around me and..

Magnus: Alright~ I got it~

Klarth: Well whatever it is... if you mistreat her/ you're with her to just be with her, you've got another thing coming.. well~~ she's rude, not sexy, and has fallen into a pit~ but she's still my childhood friend~ besides... Mirald is serious.. she's in love with you.. soo

Magnus: Alright~~ I got it~~~ Hey, open the third drawer of that desk.

Klarth: Ughhh~~~ hey~~ stop trying to deceive me~~ , alright listen.. when she falls in love with someone~ she gives them her every... WUAH~!! Hey is... is this.. HEY... could this be...

Magnus: It's a ring.

Klarth: Yea~ I know that~~ just by looking at it~~

Magnus: I am serious. You believe me now?

Klarth: Ye... yea.... AHH~!!! (glass breaks)

Magnus: Ahh~~ go get the equipment from over there!

Klarth: Oww~~ ahh ahh~ not good~~~~

Magnus: hot hot~~!!!

Klarth: Fire~ fire on the clothes~~~! ahh!!!

Magnus: Ahh besides that there's fire on the curtain~!

Klarth: Think... a light... light... light.... what kind of item will emit a light? The sun? The moon? What is it?? A candle?? Dammit~!! Think Klarth~!! Work your brain! Get your thoughts running/turning~!! Is that all your brain's got!? Think... THINK~!!

Arche: Klar....th?

Klarth: Oh yea! Cless, empty out our bags and go through our items and check everything that looks useful and odd/uncertain/unidentified. Stop fooling around/lingering/wasting time~!! I'll help too.

Cless: Ohh.. yes.

Klarth: Come on~ Arche you too, don't daze off~

Arche; Huh.. un/ok...

Mirald: Stop that~~ that's embarassing~~!

Klarth: Tsh~ just because there's a nuisance in the way~~ on your long-awaited date~~ don't project your anger towards me ok??

Klarth: You know~ we originally came here to collect data necessary for our research~~ you're the one who tagged along

Magnus: Come on now~~

Mirald: OHhh

Magnus: What's up?

Klarth: I want to... be a cloud...

Magnus: A cloud?

Klarth: Yea~ just like that cloud... bound by nothing... and.. with no destination.. leaving it to the wind, try living just like that

Klarth: YEP~ Leaving it to the wind~~! Isn't that essentially the way humans live? Responsibilities, missions, dreams, carrying too much of that just makes living troublesome~

Magnus: Is that so~

Klarth: I feel alive.. I'm living~ for moments like this

Magnus: Hey~ Klarth~

Klarth: Huh??

Magnus: What do you plan/intend to do?

Klarth: Plan to do like.... what?

Magnus: You plan to keep living, just like that?

Magnus: I'm just worried.. of how you're going to live...

Klarth: I'll choose my own life/ I'll live my own life./ It's my life, I'll choose. You have no reason to worry about me.

Magnus: Still...

Klarth: Up until now, I've always chosen my own way of living. I'm taking the risks and enjoying the freedom. I'll pay my own consequences. I won't cause anyone trouble~ that's why I won't let anyone interfere... not even by you/the same goes to you..

Magnus: Is that so....

Klarth: The ring.... when are you going to give it to her?

Magnus: I wonder when that'll be..
